Our employer barely acknowledged our efforts.
Support from management
There was virtually no leadership to speak of.
The "team" consisted of my wife and myself, and we always work well together.
Freedom to work independently
My wife and I did all the work, and had to set our own pace.
There were no meetings or sharing of any information.
Being just my wife and I, this was probably not a factor.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Again, not a factor.
There were no career advancements offered or made.
Overall compensation for your work
We did receive an initial raise, but many incidences we were not paid on time.
Office / Work Environment
Our working space was too small and too cramped to work comfortably.
Our employer took no notice of such awareness.
We were able to control our hours and vacations most of the time.
Sometimes the owner made us feel embarrassed to work there.
Our job was stable as long as we simply "knuckled under."
Probably not a factor.
There was no such training. We were essentially on our own to provide our own safety.
My wife and I were always proud of our achievements.
Inclusive / Diverse
Our opinions were roundly ignored.
Suggestions for improvement
- Having an employer who would listen to the suggestions of others, and be available when needed.
What I like about the company
I was not the employer.
