Leadership respected input from employees and decision making was encouraged through consensus

new ideas and input was encouraged
more communication needed in order to be aware of changes. Impromptu meetings not always effcient
mostly women. We had a woman CEO.
Attitude towards older colleagues
OLDER colleagues respected for their experience and wisdom
training opportunities were limited but employees could advance with supervision.
Overall compensation for your work
its a nonprofit- so we work for the love of the work to assist the families...not the dinero!
Office / Work Environment
old building, needed more attention to repair and healthy walls/ celings
very attuned to the community's mental health needs and responsive
employees could bring their children t work, flexibility with PTO and working hours
we all loved Casa de Corazon and Taos loved us!
we were taken over by a bigger company and then they were shut down by Human Services Department
limited to a ramp for DD people but not fully equipped
safe except for the mold that grew on the building
Yes working with children and families while challenging was also the most enriching aspect of the work
Inclusive / Diverse
Diversity was respected and celebrated, though for those of us who are bilingual the burden fell on needing to translate and see more of the monolingual speaking client
Suggestions for improvement
- never get taken over by a big corporation- unfortunately Casa de Corazon doesn't exist anymore

it was a very dedicated staff who loved their work and laid back, repectful of others. Familial
What I dislike about the company
Since it was a nonprofit it was not possible to get many raises or perks. sometimes too much drama amongst employees.
