The culture overall is communication needs to be more clear!

My shop manager is a big help to me can't speak for other shops.
Our store everyone pitches in to get goals accomplished and deadlines met.

Communication needs improvement all across the market. Clarity and expectations that are set.
Not as many women in management but that is slowly changing. I am a woman whom has been in Management for almost seven years now!

Overall compensation for your work
This could become tricky some people are underpaid! However pawnbrokers get a base pay plus unlimited commission. So this just varies from person to person!
Office / Work Environment
It's a pawnshop so you are either on the sales floor or behind the counter. Office is designed for business matters like reports meetings checking emails and etc.
We do not currently have a recycling program
Management works more hours than pawnbrokers so the balance depends on individual. We are open 6 days a week. Some shops are very short staffed so some people work those six days a week which unfortunate.
I have been around for 6.5 years and have relocated a total of three times. I have been promoted every year. The thing I like most is that everyday I learn something new!
As long as you do your job come to work on time and don't break rules you will bad fine! Lead by example.
We have monthly LMS courses that goes over safety tips with the company!
The job can become a little overwhelming you deal with different people with different needs and transactions. We have a wide variety clientele base. You must be patient and maintain good customer service skills. Remain professional at all times!
