Company Culture

Horrible. The people who work here are awful to their customers, lie and talk about the customers behind their backs. All the employees talk bad about one another and choose one person to "dig in on" pretty much every day. They could get better with some investigating from the state.

Support from management

These managers have a very clear line of favoritism. You know very clearly who they like and dislike right away.

Teamwork

There generally isn't a whole lot of team work as each person he a mind set of "if it's between me and you, it'll be me". When working with others that should not be the case what so ever.

Freedom to work independently

This I can say is a half and half! They trust you enough to leave for a lunch break for an hour- three hours. But they don't trust you enough to walk anywhere near the safe nor in the back without another individual present.

Internal Communication

There is a lot of communication in this company between employees as they have a private email where they can quick message one another privately. The communication is never about work though, mainly about nonwork related topics and simply talking bad about other workers.

Gender Equality

There is generally no gender bias here. Mainly girls work but only because most guys don't apply for the job.

Attitude towards older colleagues

I have not seen anyone over the age of 35 work in this environment. Mainly younger girls.

Career Development

You cannot make a career out of this. You go from Teller to Assistant manager to Manager and since its family owned that's as far as you can take it.

Overall compensation for your work

I earned one bonus while working here. $50 when I first started because I was "doing well". Did not receive a thanksgiving bonus or Christmas bonus meanwhile almost all of my coworkers did. Again this is part of the favoritism.

Office / Work Environment

This work environment is so toxic! These people spew hate and lies out of their mouths like there is no tomorrow!

Environmental Friendliness

There is nothing like this in place for this company.

Work-Life Balance

These people expect you to work 8:45 am - 7:30 pm 5-6 days a week. They never keep enough staff on to ensure that if someone has an emergency their spot can be filled. They keep 6-7 staff members to distribute between 3 stores and simply demand hat you don't miss or request any time off.

Company Image

They give out payday loans. Can't get any worse than that.

Job Security

You are ALWAYS at risk for being fired out of thin air. When I first began this job I was discriminated against for not learning the system as fast as the others. I'm just not that great with computers, once I had it down I was great and they continued to talk about firing me although I had done nothing wrong.

Handicapped Accessibility

They have a couple handicap parking spaces and a small ramp to get to the door. There are no tools or resources provided any further than that.

Workplace Safety

There's no training on safety. Just how to work the system.

Challenging Work

This place is the easiest place to work for. A monkey could do what they do.

Inclusive / Diverse

It's their way or the highway.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I suggest they do their job rather than talk down upon their employees.
  • I suggest they stop doing illegal things and then maybe they'll stop being audited.

What I like about the company

Absolutely nothing. Pay is bad, work enviornment is bad, and they are constantly audited by the state.

What I dislike about the company

Everything.
