- CAVENDER BROTHERS MANAGEMENT09.Feb 2016
At the time I worked there, the accounting department was a central department to the health of the/any car dealership. With that said, the environment was very toxic, because of the personal attitudes of almost all the team members. If you are a part of the core, there needs to be a healthy, flourishing, and caring of others in order to grow. Almost all operated as if they were there only because they had to have j-o-b... Advancement beyond the cubicle was quite hard to achieve, as it seemed management didn't want to train replacements. I left, so I could pursue employment with an employer, who wanted to invest in me, as much as I invested in them.
Suggestions for improvement
- Frequent employee / team building for ALL. While there are many different parts, without 1 part, the is no whole. Not 1 area should ever be left out... Move people who have become apathetic and lackadaisical to a different area of the company and give them opportunities for growth. Maybe they are just in the wrong departement.
What I like about the company
The finance department were very friendly and accommodating and truly seemed to go out of there way, to help the customers.
What I dislike about the company
Not enough concern for investing in the employees, as much as they required of the employees to invest in them! The accounting department should never be treated as a "non-participatory" part of the company.
