Suggestions for improvement
- How you let people go is just as important as how you bring them on, most certainly when it's a reduction in force. I wasn't upset my job was no longer needed and I was let go. I saw it coming and made arrangements accordingly. I was upset that when it happened, people who had been fired for serious offenses had been treated with more dignity & respect than those being released because of reasons beyond their control. Implement a severance package based on years of service. Allow a 30 day grace period for people to shop for new health/life insurance. You expect people to give a 2 week notice when they leave, how about extending them the same courtesy?
What I like about the company
Paid well. Great people in the lower tiers of craft, supervision, and 1st-line management. Location & facility were very nice. Good benefit package.
