Company Culture

There are very few managers who actually convery gratitude toward the employees.

Support from management

There are a lot of Chiefs and not enough Indians; Execs have unrealistic expectations and morale is deplorable across nearly every department.

Teamwork

There is an overriding sentiment, of "that's someone else's job." Which hurts the company as a whole.

Freedom to work independently

As previously stated, there are unrealisitc expectations and a lot of over time and late nights to make up for it as dictated by the micromanagers which abound.

Internal Communication

There are hundreds of daily meetings which accomplish nothing. And copious amounts of emails that are not read by management.

Attitude towards older colleagues

This is not a business for anyone to retire in. It is a skipping stone to get to a better place. No one expects anyone to stay longer than a few years anyway.

Career Development

The most incompetent people keep rising and the most qualified people keep being let go or quit.

Overall compensation for your work

No one has seen a raise in years. There are always reasons why the goals you were given were not met, which allows management to keep everyone's salaries low. In addition, they are still hiring and maintaining salaries when the business was in Rome GA without increasing anything to account for cost of living in Kennesaw.

Office / Work Environment

They company is very up to date and quite well it and modern.

Environmental Friendliness

I have no idea if the company supports fair trade, but there are hardly any recylcing bins or groups for those who are socially conscious...Wouldn't want to offend anyone or think we're forming unions.

Work-Life Balance

Vacation days can be taken. But only during times that your manager deems appropriate, which can often be between May and September. You have to fight for PTO and sick days and even then you might have to work, or get called in later. Most companies are heading toward telecomuting. This company is headed in the opposite direction.

Company Image

The business has had some severe fubars in the past few years and alienated it's customer base. We are constantly having large customers slip away.

Job Security

Most people could agree that every day you might get fired...or let go...or outsourced. In 2014 we had a slew of qualified managers and staff get let go for very little explanation.

Challenging Work

I feel no sense of worth in anything I do. Few do since most of what we do is counter intutitive to what needs to be done. And it never stops. Just endless drudgery and brow-beatings.

Inclusive / Diverse

No. The company has a few execs who have no concept of the business attempting to dictate the policy and procedures in departments they've never worked in.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Fire the execs and most of middle management, and hire supervisors who listen to the people who have been doing this job for decades and not try to re-invent the wheel for the sake of innovation.

What I like about the company

I like that I essentially can take lunch/breaks when I need to on most days.

What I dislike about the company

Everything other than what I like about this employer.
