I have waited for the opportunity to move up the corporate ladder, but CCMC has not supported me yet has supported and helped many others to do so.
Support from management
No support, nothing.
This is true for other women, but not for me.
Attitude towards older colleagues
After 15 years, I'm being laid off while younger employees with less tenure are promoted.
I have waited for 3 years for my opportunity to acquire more knowledge, but have been held back by helping others instead.
I'm being laid off March 31, 2019, after 15 years.
I am the default when a community needs help and it has hindered by ability to develop skills and move up.
Suggestions for improvement
- If someone has the desire and tenure to move up within the company, help them get to that point.
What I like about the company
Benefits are great - 401k, medical, dental.
What I dislike about the company
Being laid off after 15 years while others with a fraction of the time with the company are able to acquire more knowledge, develop skills and be promoted. The company failed by not allowing me to do the same.
