Suggestions for improvement

  • Although diversity in our facility is great, I believe that English should be the only language spoken by staff, unless they are in break or if a specific patient speaks another language and doesn't understand English. As I stated before I think there need to be more activities for the patients.

What I like about the company

The atmosphere is pleasant, team work highly encouraged and management that is accessible and helpful. Many opportunities for advancement and ability to learn new skills. The management staff are intelligent and have great leadership skills. They are easy to go to for problems and listen completely to any issues brought to their attention and they respond with corrective action rapidly. The remaining staff are easy to help and everyone is very easy to work with. Everyone always tries to provide assistance for each other. I have worked for several facilities and the difference between my other employers and my current employer is vastly different. There isn't nearly the drama between staff as I have seen elsewhere.

What I dislike about the company

I don't necessarily think I disapprove of anything specifically but I do think there are ways that things can be done differently. For example activities for our patients needs to include making sure they get out of bed and have more / different activities for our patients. I feel the rate of depression would decrease. I also think that the schedules for the therapists should be changed so that the staff comes into the facility earlier when our patients are more awake. I also feel like each facility within the company should have more autonomy and not have to fit into a one size fits all type of rehabilitation facility. Even though each facility is under the same umbrella, they should be allowed to make changes that fit each facility individually.
