I went through something pretty serious last year and received a ton of support and compassion from management and coworkers.

I think they should be a little more flexible when it comes to schedules

Workplace Safety

This company in my opinion pays good. But the management is TERRIBLE!!!!! They will turn on you in the blink of an eye as soon as you slip up by mistake and fire you asap! They'll laugh and smile in your face as if your bf but will take about you like a dog behind your back. In short if you work here there are very few people you can trust...Even HR don't care what goes on they'll believe the managers before they believe you even if you are telling the truth. Be careful when working here

Company Culture

You work and go home.... that's about it. Culture is severely lacking

Support from management

Poor management structure and clear nepotism and cronyism is rampant

Teamwork

my 2 teammates are great, but poor management often impedes morale

You're on your own

Due to the nepotism/cronyism , you're input only matters if you are isn't valued unless you are part of the "in-crown"

Attitude towards older colleagues

Good, but they tend to favor the older employees and discount the younger employees.. kind of a reverse ageism

Career Development

only if you're a maintenance man.

Overall compensation for your work

Bonuses are laughable. Don't expect to share in the companies prosperity or record revenues. Barely anything trickles down past the management level

Environmental Friendliness

We don't even recycle at all, which is something I don't understand

  • A manager of a team should have knowledge and interest in the work their team does. Just because you like a person or think they manage a certain department well, doesn't mean they naturally belong in management for ANY team.

What I dislike about the company

Cronyism, nepotism, management is more based on who you know than what you know. Terrible parking. The company prospers and your bonus check looks like what your grandmother would give you for your birthday (don't spent it all in one place).
