Are you a Current or Former Employee? Current employee
I like about the employer
The only positive is the 8-5 workday. Nobody knows, or cares about what is going on day-to-day. Do what you want...
I dislike about the employer
Complete lack of communication, organization, & principles. From the top down, there is an overwhelming sense of 'we don't know what we are doing' in the everyday operations of this company. The rules change, almost daily it seems. The more an employee searches for direct answers, the further ostracized they become within the ranks. Many very good employees have been lost, and will continue to be lost, because of this. Overbooking of CDL student numbers, and no overtime allowed, only serves to produce a workload that becomes unbearable (and almost ridiculous) at times. Watching your weekly time-card also becomes a 'must', as your paycheck never seems to add up to the time you have put in actually working. The mistakes in paychecks are never in the employee's favor. Although the company name implies 'Safety', the sad reality is that the financial bottom line is the primary concern to management, regardless of the well-being of students and staff. Trying to force through as many potential students in the shortest amount of time is the company philosophy. Instead of turning out safe, fundamentally sound, quality drivers, it's about 'getting them through their test'. Of the hundreds of students I have interacted with, I would trust only a handful of them to be driving a semi down the highway in a Commercial Motor Vehicle next to my family.
