There's a lot of bullying amongst leadership.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Support growth inside and outside of the team. Try to focus on associates instead of treating them like robots that churn in your bonuses.

What I like about the company

Cerner is convenient. All employees have a laptop. This makes it easy to work from home when necessary. There is a pharmacy, clinic and gym at most locations.

What I dislike about the company

The leads are bullies and not supportive. If you would like to grow outside of the team, they take it personal, makes it hard to grow.

Company culture

Fairly good group of people - some are horrible, but most are fun and friendly. Mostly young and fresh.

Support from Management

Terrible management. People are only promoted based on tenure - quality of work does not matter at all to anybody. Most of the time, managers don't know what they're doing and they don't have the right personalities for the gig. But Cerner doesn't care.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Hire some experienced personnel, be more flexible, stop the micro-management, stop with the rhetoric and tell the truth.

What I like about the company

This is specific to the Malvern campus. Overall, it is a stable company but they do not appreciate experienced personnel and are reluctant on hiring them due to cost.

What I dislike about the company

Healthcare is sub-par, agism is very apparent, unstable work environment, promises of perks like gym for over 2 years, no work-life balance for division, micro-management and several layers of management, no remote employee positions, contradicting policies.

  • micromanagment by some managers which can prohibit from getting the task completed
