Not a great place to work
There was never any trust from the corporate office. We were always treated like we didn't know what we were doing.
Support from management
Three of the Four years I worked there, we did not have a manager in the office. Just myself and two customer service reps. A service manager came and went as he needed, salesmen were in and out and technicians stopped by occasionally. There was no day to day leadership or branch manager.
This was a branch office, not a lot of support from the corporate office in Hanover Pa
Freedom to work independently
We really never knew whose job was what to do, the 3 of us just pulled together and got it done.
Communication got better as the years went by
All managers are male
Attitude towards older colleagues
Must employees with all the perks - higher salaries, vacation, management positions are 45+
Overall compensation for your work
Insurance is horrible and they do not match 401k
Office / Work Environment
working conditions got better when we moved to the new office, sadly my job was illuminated a month later
company does not award very many vacation days to new employees. you have to be a family member or have worked there for 20 years to have decent vacation time.
Branch employees have nothing nice to say about the corporate office
My job was eliminated solely on the fact that I was not liked and that I have epilepsy and missed a couple days of work and I had FMLA because of it.
The company was very big on safety. That is the only good thing I can say is they took safety very seriously.
Depending on your position, the work is very challenging and what they expect of you. You can do a really good job or have a health problem, they will not like you and just ellimenate your job
Inclusive / Diverse
As of the time that I left, the company was 100% Caucasian with roughly a little over 100 employees
Suggestions for improvement
- The only way this company is going to survive is to get rid of all the family members in positions they should not be in.
What I like about the company
I enjoyed the work that I did. I enjoyed helping the customers. I had relationships and I was trusted and I made a real difference with the way their businesses ran. I miss the customers the most and the technicians I worked with.
What I dislike about the company
Pretty much everything. The way that they treat people.
