Culture is "Us vs. Them" mentality. Them being upper management and US being everyone else which includes middle management and the floor personnel.
Support from management
Upper management supports the business and keeps it working and flowing. They do not support the individual.
There is an "Us versus Them" mentality. "Us" being middle management and the shop personnel, versus "Them" being Upper Management.
There are multiple levels of communication, upper management down, middle management and staff across, and shop floor. There is no open communication system to report ideas or continuous improvement. The system is basically top flow down, which is a poor system.
No gender inequality I know of. The category is "Us" versus "Them".
There is no system in place to honor yearly evaluation of performance, cost of living increase, performance raises, or merits. What you start with is what you will have indefinitely. This is the decision maker here. Can you live with it?
Overall compensation for your work
The initial offer is always much lower than the average. Know what you are worth and bargain well. You will not get the chance afterwards to increase because they don't do that.
Office / Work Environment
Working conditions are average.
The image does not adequately reflect reality.
Accessibility is good.
Working conditions are safe and ok. Training could be better.
Inclusive / Diverse
Continuous improvement ideas are not supported. Might as well keep them to yourself. No process or system in place to promote ideas, support development, or recognize the source of those ideas. Ideas only flow down stream, not up stream.
Suggestions for improvement
- Would not make any difference. Upper Management is the leader and sets the example, if they will not take time to listen and have an open mind mentality and foment a system of support and growth within their employee base, then the company is doomed to fail at some point in time. They are not a good company if you have career in mind. The technology is adequate, the mentality is ancient egyptian.
What I like about the company
The technology system was good and support from IT was excellent.
What I dislike about the company
A.They do not value continuous improvement unless it comes from Upper Management flowing down. B. There is no system in place to honor or recognize anniversary dates or give cost of living raises or merit raises of any kind. C. The company is organized and run like an empire. It is closed minded and the only thing that matters is the numbers, not the individual or the people.
