- Chase & Associates, Inc.04.Oct 2016
Paymentech was a great company. A joint venture between First Data and Chase. When Chase bought it out they declared it a "value add" only. They were more interested in the accounts. And they started the process of "gutting".
Support from management
Once the Paymentech CIO left, he was replaced with 3 Chase branded CTOs.
The Paymentech people whom are left are still a team. Though, with the mass hiring of folks from India and the increased use of the new teams in Mumbi, it's becoming an outsourced "value add" line of business.
Freedom to work independently
As long as you do your job, I've never witnessed anyone breathing down your neck.
People talk well enough I suppose.
I had great Mgrs. Both male and female.
Office / Work Environment
Was great at the Cypress and Lois location. Not so great at the new Memorial Drive office. Nice building and all, but much more institutional now.
When we first moved to the Memorial Drive office they had tractor trailer flat beds pumping in the A/C. Their a huge bank, eco-friendly isn't their concern.
With Paymentech, we had a weekly work from home day. And a fairly flexible work schedule. As long as you got your work done. Chase ended that.
You'll certainly be challenged. By timelines. But don't look for new technology. The Bank is too big to move to things like AWS, Docker, Ansible, etc without it being around past cutting edge.
Inclusive / Diverse
If you are from India, you will be included. Particularly if they hold your work VISA.
