Very Money and Numbers driven, Often forget about taking care of the employee
Support from management
Corporate office people forget what it's like to run a store. they put so much pressure on the store managers that they end up quitting. They have 1 Regional Manager for the entire state of Ohio who also travels between the other states. When help is needed from the RM it is 99.9% of the time a phone call
Managers turn their backs on fellow employees, or fellow managers, Corporate office believes the employee over the manager even with Video proof
Help was needed from Regional Manager but was given too late. was told by RM to set the store a certain way, Assistant manager called RM to change it, RM said no, but when the RM came to the store after being open for 6 months she yelled at me (Store Manager) because the store was not set up right, but when told it was set the way that they had told me she accused me of lying and making it up.
Attitude towards older colleagues
You can hire whoever you want, but if the Reginal Manager comes in and does not like them because they may go a little slower than they would like they will make sure the manager knows and tell you to cut their hours when they are a very dependable and reliable worker
Overall compensation for your work
Strictly Minimum Wage and they pick and choose who gets raises for cashiers
Office / Work Environment
Breaks, are not allowed unless it is a working break.
Don't have a family and be a store manager, they require 50 hour weeks, and if you work 60 hours one week they expect more.. Constantly work on your days off, responding to emails, and such
Was trained to take the deposit to the bank in my own vehicle, and the regional manager said we were not allowed to take it following our shift but when told that's how I was trained she said I was lying.

What I like about the company
They do all inclusive year end manager retreats but only IF you qualify based on store performance
What I dislike about the company
Regional manager told me I couldn't go to the hospital when I was having a stress induced panic attack .. That is when I quit.
