If you're a customer, they bend over backwards for you. If you're an employee, you're just a number. They preach about how much they care about employees, but their actions say otherwise.
Support from management
Management provides zero support and quick to write up even when production is off by only a handful of picks. Departments constantly understaffed and overworked.
Most people are there as a temp job so don't care. A few come in with high hopes, but within 2 months, they lost all cares as well.
Freedom to work independently
Constantly have someone watching over your back.
Management has the same complaint. The left hand at chewy never knows what the right hand is doing. No communication in the company.
Once again. Anyone can get a job here.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Lot of resentment among employees
No training program for advancement, and advancement is primarily based on buddy level with supervisors.
Overall compensation for your work
Very poor pay for the work requested. Compensation for executive level is good.
Office / Work Environment
AC is lacking, hot conditions
They have a recycling program for cardboard, but a ton of wasted paper.
Mandatory overtime all the time with sometimes only 3 hours notice.
Great outside image, terrible employee image.
Get your numbers and you keep your job. Miss a few times and you're gone.
Accommodations for a lot of disabilities.
Minimum training. Always accidents happening.
Work is a lot of easy tasks, but speed required is a challenge.
Inclusive / Diverse
Anyone can get a job here.
Suggestions for improvement
- Pay an appropriate wage. Allow an HR representative to conduct interviews for advancement to eliminate the buddy promotions. Employees are required to give a minimum of 24 hour notice of time off, same should apply to mandatory overtime.
What I like about the company
