You’re just a number. Not much leadership or appreciation.
Support from management
On some days it’s great, and others, not so much.
Freedom to work independently
If you’re a multi picker, then yes, independently working.
One manager will tell you one thing, and another lead or manager will tell you the complete opposite. It happens on a daily basis.
A good mix of both women and men.
Attitude towards older colleagues
There are a lot of younger individuals that are employed here and they don’t have much respect for the elders
There is always room to grow, which is also a good benefit.
Overall compensation for your work
This job requires a lot of hard work. There is a lot of heavy lifting, and fast paced movement. While Amazon and other companies are paying 15 per hour, Chewy pays you 12.50.
Office / Work Environment
Needs mass improvement
No one cleans up after themselves. Company had to hire an internal company to clean up things that we as employees should be cleaning.
When you are not MOT, it’s not bad at all. They recently adjusted their point system to better fit employee needs.
They put on a good front. From a customer stand point, yes they are wonderful. From an employees perspective, they are lacking in that area.
Because of their point system, you kinda have control of this.
Needs improvement. Incidents happen a lot more than expected.
Not very challenging. Kind of repetitive
Inclusive / Diverse
One thing that I love about it is the diversity.
Suggestions for improvement
- Better leadership and communication from leads and managers, better company atmosphere and culture, and more appreciation.
What I like about the company
The weekly paycheck, a few of my coworkers, and the work itself isn’t bad at all. The diversity of individuals is great, too!
What I dislike about the company
The communication, the point system, the rudeness, and the leadership.
