You will NEVER hear "good job". Their are several work standards within a department. Some people are expected to perform at a high level and you are reprimanded if you don't bit others are allowed to to do next to nothing all day and get away with it.
Support from management
There is no leadership. The "supervisors" have no clue how to be leaders. Some supervisors don't even know how to do their jobs much less the job of their department employees.
No such thing as teamwork. The back biting from your coworkers is unbelievable and "management" turns their back on what is not good for the team
Freedom to work independently
In ALL departments you have the workers and the slackers
Staff meeting?? Don't plan on it
You are able to move up in the company even if you are not qualified. They just want the chair filled with a warm body.
Office / Work Environment
Computers are always going down and IT staff is either not in the building or can't figure out he problem.
Never knew what the day would bring. Management loves the term "layoff". That is what they would say when they let you go.
The only thing they offered was a handicapped parking spot in the employee parking but the administrator was usually parked in it if he bothered to show up to work.
OSHA is a joke.
Suggestions for improvement
- Start from the ground up and start all over. Hire an administrator who actually works 8-5 Monday thru Friday and is involved with the employees and their best interest. Hire supervisors who are qualified to do the job. That would include having knowledge on how to run your dept and manage your workers. This company is very quickly falling apart because it lacks these 2 integral parts. Therefore, employee morale is non existent.
What I dislike about the company
Lack of management,unequal work standards, an administrator who does nothing for this company, back stabbing from coworkers, lack of teamwork mentality
