Are you a Current or Former Employee? Former job since 2015
Support from Management
My leadership did not really care about the employees. Chipotle teaches their managers to tell the staff they care but they are merely empty statements with little action behind the statements leading to low employee morale overall. When complaints were made about management not doing their job it was ignored due to favortism.
The company pushes employees too quickly into leadership roles that many are not ready for or properly trained for leading low standards in terms of food quality control, cleanliness and business management. The training videos and manuals are quite extensive and useful tools if used properly but since a big part of the company goal is to move to restaurateur level you must first meet the minimum requirement of how many managers you have on your team so little effort is put into ensuring the future leaders are in fact right for the job because becoming restarateur means bonus money and a car etc for the GM's etc. Not enough focus is put into quality work and high standards and too much and pushing people into roles they're either not capable of our ready for.
