This company went from a very small business to more than the owners can handle, and it reflects in the company culture. The long-standing employees are friends of the family who have total immunity from discipline and the newer employees are interchangeable and disposable.
Biting cliquishness across many departments.
Suggestions for improvement
- Either scale back the company to what the owners can manage effectively, or delegate more of the power to allow departments to run without being micromanaged. Nepotism keeps incompetent people in charge of departments that they cannot manage and do not have the skills to run.
What I like about the company
You will never run out of available tasks to be done, so if you like to stay busy, your day is full.
What I dislike about the company
Inconsistent application of discipline, extreme nepotism, constant gossip about the personal lives of every employee, and high turnover in the employees outside the inner circle of friends-of-the-business-owner.
