Suggestions for improvement
- A church should follow the Bible guidelines in leadership and management. If Christian Community were to to that, it would grow and prosper. They need expert and experienced leadership in the pastor position which they do not now have.
I like about the employer
The church membership was wonderful, a joy to pastor.
I dislike about the employer
The Church Board was incompetent at the highest level but refused to recognize their lack of knowledge of church management. They insisted on interfering with my leadership and expertise. They invited me to relocate to Puerto Rico to lead the church promising their support which they refused to give once we had sold everything in the States and relocated. They refused to honor their own Constitution when we reached an amicable agreement to resign, violating the church guidelines. They promised relocation expenses but never honored their word. We spent over $20,000 moving to and from the island and they never honored their word to reimburse us. Since our resignation the church membership and finances as decreased significantly.
