- CHRISTUS Health29.Nov 2016
In 1999, two historic Catholic charities became one, forming CHRISTUS Health and creating a unique purpose in the modern health care market - to take better care of people.
To extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, the mission that the Sisters of Charity Health Care system and Incarnate Word Health system shared for more than a century, is now also the mission of CHRISTUS Health.
Ranked among the top 10 Catholic health systems in the United States by size, the CHRISTUS Health system includes more than 40 hospitals and facilities in seven U.S. states, Chile and six states in Mexico, with assets of more than $4.6 billion.
Whether seeking care in Alexandria Louisiana, or Coahuila, Mexico, patients discover that the healing spirit is alive at CHRISTUS Health.
Our Mission - Why We Exist
To extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
Our Core Values - What We Believe In
Our Vision - What We Are Striving to Do.
CHRISTUS HEALTH, a Catholic health ministry, will be a leader, a partner, and an advocate the creation of innovative health and wellness solutions that improve the lives of individuals and communities so that all may experience God's healing presence and love.
Our Name and Symbol - Who We Are
CHRISTUS is Latin for "Christ," and proclaims publicly the core of our mission. Our name choice also recognizes the heritage of our two congregational sponsors, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in Houston and San Antonio. Jesus Christ is the Incarnate Word, the Word of God made flesh. It is, therefore, only fitting that it is in another form of His name that our health ministries are called together.
Our symbols reflects the healing ministry of Jesus Christ— a combination of a medical cross and a religious cross. The flowing banner on the cross is a common symbol of the risen Christ, while the royal purple signifies Christ. The flowing banner also conveys a sense of motion as we move forward into a new era of service to our communities.

Pride and arrogance at the top, results in poor moral down the line.
Policy is whatever the manager in charge at the time, says it is. No coherence or continuity.
We used to always say, "Look out for the setup"! Management will set up subordinates for the blame that the manger should take. They would blame the underlings for the failure, when the policy was never communicated in the first place.
