Very kind and friendly people. I have not met a single person I didn't like or had an unpleasant experience with.
Too many bosses. Perhaps it's my unfamiliarity with a bureaucracy but everything takes so long to get done.
Freedom to work independently
I'm IT, I basically get free reign of the school. Make it count and be trustworthy.
There are resources available to Techs in learning procedures and software but are barely known by other employees. Inefficient implementation of updates that end up taking too much time to implement.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Generally good but too much gossip.
I've been at this for almost three years and only BARELY managed to get 19 hours a week. HORRIBLE for development.
Overall compensation for your work
Campus employees get summer vacation! Though whether it's a good or bad thing depends on your financial situation.
Budget dependent, unfortunately. However it depends on positions, custodians have it good while techs are most in danger of getting their hours cut.
I rate it low since if you know what you're doing, the work is never challenging.
Inclusive / Diverse
Chula Vista is a diverse city. No discrimination here, unless you want benefits then it won't matter who or what you are.
Suggestions for improvement
- Improve overall communication between campuses and the district in all fields. Be more generous with hours, I am a human being and require medical and dental benefits along with everyone else!
What I like about the company
Pay rate and benefits (if eligible)
What I dislike about the company
The lack of hired hours and poor communication.
