Suggestions for improvement
- Communication should improve. Before making policies, send out surveys to teachers to get feedback before going to the board. Allowing teachers to reflect and process, along with having a voice in decisions that are made in a district. Use technology to help! For example, survey monkey is an excellent tool to get a huge amount of teacher input. Share the specific results and don't skew results or data to make the district look better. For example, 50% of students are passing state assessments. That means 50% are failing!!! Put more money towards the kids: smaller class sizes, more intervention teachers, and more assistants. Put more money into mental health professionals for our kids.
What I like about the company
I have wonderful colleagues who are Extremely supportive.
What I dislike about the company
Administration making decisions that are not best for kids. The fact that most admins have not been in a classroom in years and some have little to no experience with the age groups they are making decisions for.
