What I like about the company
Although the company is big, it feels really small at times, in a good way. Everyone says hi, the office is beautiful, and there are ample social spaces for employees. The location is incredible and I love that the company sometimes does activities or events to integrate with the community. This is a great place to have a first job or to be an executive, but not so much in the middle, as growth is difficult.
What I dislike about the company
Opportunities for growth are extremely rare. HR is making improvements in 2018 to work on this, as they are aware of the issue. Because of this, turnover is common, making the jobs of those who stay frustrating to keep training people over and over again. It also leads to information loss as people leave. There is a clear "us" and "them" separation from higher management and the rest of the staff, and I think the growth gap has something to do with that. Providing more opportunities to go to paid conferences, take college courses, have mentors, and have more time off for creative pursuits would be to the benefit of the entire company.
