Circulent LLC Review
Profits above all else, employees are expendable. Nickel and dime everyone...
What I like
Colleagues are nice people. Work itself is enjoyable and challenging.
What I dislike
- Management puts it all on the employees to work 8 hours of "billable hours" a day, even though there is rarely enough tickets in the system to fulfill this requirement.
- The definition of "billable hours" is completely skewed, all clients are under maintenance contracts so they aren't billed hourly except on projects.
- The "bootcamp" that prospective engineers must complete is purposely vague and confusing.…
Suggestions for improvement
Invest in your employees. Focus less on billable hours and allow for more utilization work. You have the engineers working hard and not smart, utilization allows you to work smart.
Hostile work environment. Miserable for entry level, have to scramble and fight for tickets to work on. Must maintain 80% billable hours even when there aren't enough tickets.
Weekly company meetings are strange and kafkaesque
Unpaid on-call rotation
Support from management
Entry level will get thrown under the bus. Management is rude and demeaning.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Negative interactions are commonplace coming from management. Hostile work environment
Recycling is considered a crutch, no recycling.
They will not allow you to train unless it benefits them "enough". They'd rather you be performing billable work and gaining immediate profit. They do not invest in employee development.
The work is great and varied. Entry level get to learn a lot
