Employees are not given positive commendations. Manager fails to ensure supervision provides appropriate feedback and discipline.
Support from management
Policies are not followed consistently and not all employees are held to the same standards as others.
New employees are given training beyond their experience or knowledge, but infrequently. Training opportunities overall are not available regularly. Manager will not send people to training because he "doesn't want to build their resume."
Suggestions for improvement
- Make long term employees feel appreciated; make seniority mean something. Enforce policies and take discipline equally- no special favors to those who are "buddies" to those in supervision or managment. Stop changing benefits during the year with no notice.
What I like about the company
They provide most of the major equipment to do your job as a Police Officer.
What I dislike about the company
There is no desire to treat employees well, especially those who desire to become better and those who seek to be promoted if they don't go along with what the management says.
