Suggestions for improvement
- The culture of entitlement and ""I've always done it this way"" seems to be prevalent in some areas of the City. I would hold the supervisors more accountable for the actions of their employees so that it would curb the waste and abuse that occurs and hold everyone who knows about and condones it accountable.
What I like about the company
Since it is government you have a pension that includes healthcare when you retire. The City contributes an amount to your pension that is normally greater than what companies match towards your 401(k). You pay far less in health benefits than in an indstry job. The benefits are far superior also than in industry. If you get into the right area and have the desire, you can make this job your own and succeed for both yourself and the City.
