There was no employee manual, which lead to inconsistency in practices/procedures; no recognition program due to budget constraints.
Support from management
Unfortunately there waa no sense of support or accountability in upper management.
Clerks worked well together, but the supervisors were like crabs in a bucket. Constantly trying to bring each other down. It was so exhausting babysitting and playing mediator.
Severe lack of communication. Director was infamous for keeping employees in the dark.
Office / Work Environment
Lack of resources made for a very inefficient work environment. Led to employees having to work harder and be creative when needed. Shared work areas and unstable floors, mold im ventilation system made for an unhealthy work environment.
Supervisors were made to work excessive amount of hours due to shortage in staff. High turnover and unattainable goals set by director forced exempt staff to work long(unpaid) hours.
