Suggestions for improvement
- Just try to do things that would benefit the customers and the staff.
The supervisors in my department very rarely commended employees. I witnessed several occasions where a clerk was singled out & corrected publicly in front of co-workers. It was also made obvious that if you weren't a "favorite" you'd better watch your back. Fairness and trust in the billing department did not exist. I regret not reporting specific incidents to Human Resources where employees were belittled.
I have never worked at an office that had such unprofessional supervisors. One supervisor in particular regularly shared her thoughts about her staff to other clerks. I believe some of the management staff have no clue as to how they should approach conflict appropriately. Business etiquette is completely lacking, and it is noticed by the public as well as lower level clerks.
