Suggestions for improvement
- They say during orientation that it’s 3 strikes and you’re out but there are many times where employees get talked to about what they did wrong and it gets documented but after 3 times they still work there. There were employees that have more than 5 strikes and still no discussion of releasing the employee. The consistency is lacking in the disciplinary actions. Also the full time employees are the only ones who can decide if someone can be let go, but the part time managers are the one discussing the disciplinary actions and having to deal with the constant disregard of those employees who have more than 3 strikes.
What I like about the company
I worked here for many years and worked my way up. I got as high as I could as a part time employee, but I had a different career choice in mind for myself. This was my first job and it taught me a lot about myself and about work ethic. The work environment is like a big family.
What I dislike about the company
Given that it is a place where many young kids get their first job, their disciplinary actions could use improvement. It’s hard to get fired from there unless you blatantly break rules. If they were more harsh on those who are late or just don’t show up to their shift they would really help the younger kids know what it’s like to have a real job and that those actions aren’t acceptable.
