Suggestions for improvement
- More team building to improve employee morale. More job postings to bring in better and more qualified candidates. Fight for higher pay for dispatchers since we have had a huge influx of workload with all the folks displaced from hurricanes last year. We have had exponential growth in this City and immense workload increase with the same expectations for efficiency and patient care yet we have less people to handle the workload. Increasing pay would improve the long term retention of good employees.
What I like about the company
The City of Orlando is very innovative and working to become more Green everyday. There are many programs in place for employees and good benefits. Team work is a must and the job is very rewarding if you can handle stressful situations.
