Overall compensation for your work

I can only comment regarding my role as a contracted provider to provide Early Intervention Services specifically Special Instruction and ABA.
In terms of internal communication the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing in their offices, be it payroll, or case assignments. I had four cases where the agency was notified prior to the first session that they would not be utilizing CPG and I would not find out until I went to the home or daycare.
The supervisor availability be it clinical or situational intervention needed is non-responsive or simply not there.
In terms of compensation for Social Workers, I don't know if it's different for MEd, but the state reimburses 120 dollars per hour session, and CPG takes 60%. There is no reimbursement for toys, there is no reimbursement for travel, and despite being told they have ample cases in Brooklyn and Manhattan- 90% of cases that were emailed to me were in the Bronx or North of 145th Street in Manhattan.
In the industry overall more so in Education than clinical work there is a clear gender bias against males.

Suggestions for improvement

  • To adhere to factual documented information, not act on hearsay conversations, and provide support to contracted employees. And to be open in terms of the locations of available cases for providers.

What I dislike about the company

There is a total lack of internal communication between Clinical Supervisors, The Case Managers, The families, and this impacts the contracted provider adversely.
