Company takes pride in culture, but that culture focuses only on individual performance.
Support from management
Organization suffers from ineffective management at the senior level.
Regional offices compete with each other rather than co-operate because of management criteria for rewarding individual performance.
Freedom to work independently
Individual employees have very little to say about their workload or what their area of focus is best adapted to give their efforts toward.
Many meetings occur regularly involving management, more than needed to be efficient, but rarely involve front line professional employees.
Many women employed, but predominately in levels of little responsibility.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Very few older employees outside senior management.
Tendency to market only commodity work stunts professional growth, especially in areas of new technology and technological applications.

Company pays average to below average for professional positions.
Office / Work Environment
Offices are average in terms of work space, availability of computers, printers, and other support equipment.
Senior company view of environmental issues are very negative even given they are an environmental engineering firm.
Little consideration of balance, particularly family and work balance.
Employees rarely speak to the issue of company image or refer to the company in positive ways.
Company has history of rapid growth followed by significant layoffs and reduction.
Company employs almost no disabled workers.
Company emphasizes safety, but predominately from view of protecting company from liability.
Services provided are commodity in nature, almost no creative nor cutting edge work.
Inclusive / Diverse
Senior management very bias regarding opinions and ideas that conflict with their extreme conservatism.
Suggestions for improvement
- Replace most of senior management, work to change culture of internal competing to internal cooperation and teamwork.
What I like about the company
Have national coverage in terms of presence but nothing internationally.
What I dislike about the company
Senior management lacks vision and is far too conservative in management approach and business thinking.
