There were half-hearted comments to try to get teachers to feel like we were a team, but no concrete effort was put forth to truly create any form of culture between colleagues.
Working with low performing kids and seeing low rewards can be challenging, day after day. Especially with little administration support.
Suggestions for improvement
- The administration needs to support the teachers 100%. When students or parents are being told something different than what the teacher is telling them, or when administration are letting students and parents speak without respect about a faculty member, that is when a school loses any momentum it has gained. That is when a school fails.
What I like about the company
Working with a whole new administration to pull our school through turnaround.
What I dislike about the company
When it is behind the back of the person it is about.
