  • I would again take a look at their pay structure and address the gender pay gap. I'd also suggest a more professional work environment

What I like about the company

I have had the opportunity for career development and promotion, but that is not common for all staff positions. I am trusted to work independently and am given a lot of freedom

What I dislike about the company

They need to improve pay to keep pace with other opportunities and they need to adjust pay to close the gender wage gap

I was given a promotion that I didn’t have the educational background for but they took a chance on me and trusted me to learn and perform as if I did. I have been able to do that and more

  • I would start by changing our name, it is completely misleading.

What I like about the company

Our mission of protecting public health and the environment is so important and our direct work with community members means we are working with the affected to help them and working proactively to prevent public health and environmental issues.

What I dislike about the company

We need better communication among employees, we need clearer work plans and clearer goals, we need an easier system of working with other organizations. We need more stable funding. We need salaries that match our work loads
