They wanted me to stay in the same position forever. Always adding more rules and not only that changing the rules constantly i could never stay in a routine at my job done on time. Not a streamlined business.

i had a shotgun pulled on me while at an elderly persons home who was senile. Rule of thumb you never know who you're meeting and where you're going.

Challenging Work

hot, very hot in houses with no ac at 2 pm. 95 outside. 105 in the house, lots of driving 2-4 a day, lots of bending over hurting your back. High customer expectations and out clients. Need excellent time management skills and paperwork organization skills. Must be proficient with technology and adapting. Thinking on your feet to save time.

Suggestions for improvement

  • give people gps in their cars so they are not required to use their phone to get to their job.

no union. no one to defend you. The company does not care about you and only cares about renewing the contract and will fire anyone for no reason to protect that. cut throat.

Company is branded as being inclusive, and transparent, and this is not the case.

Little to none. You find out about policy changes after the fact. Usually after a customer has complained for receiving incorrect information.

  • New management. Offer better benefits (especially health), promote within (it would help keep people there instead of scaring them off), pay better. Just to name a few.

What I like about the company

It's easy work. I like the discounts, gift cards we can earn, and the 401k. For the most part the people there are nice.

What I dislike about the company

Lack of hiring within. Horrible management. They have someone there now w no personality. They treat people unfairly. I've seen people get kudos for things that I've done that never get recognized. Also they didn't have a Christmas party this past yr like the yr before. The people making a lot more than we do over in another part of the office treat us CSRs like we are the scum of the earth. The pay there is lacking and it's taking several months to hear anything about raises. They want us to keep our computers turned off and then expect us to come to our shift early and turn them on and not pay us (which is illegal). I could keep going.

What I like about the company

Team mates are helpful and overall looking to help. Great training program. Great benefits. Paid well for the work you do but you have to work hard. My position allows me to work on my own and not be in the office. I consult with homeowners so I travel from house to house

What I dislike about the company

I wish management will allow time so administrative work or paperwork could be done during that time. It's is difficult spending all day in the field and having to come home and continue working doing paperwork. More support in the office will be helpful.
It will be nice to have more things be paperless in this day and age.
Inventory count I think is outdated. It will be good to have each energy consultant/ specialist have a small storage where their inventory will be stored. Whenever they need any inventory, they can go to their storage and get it. Leads will be responsible for filling the closet storages. It cuts down on time spent doing inventory at the end of the month and streamlines everything. A lot of time is spent putting in EFI orders, going to pick it up, loading car etc. If we all have inventory closets or storage in a warehouse somewhere, we can just go in our closets, grab what we need, mark what we took and that's it. The leads will fill our storage with whatever is missing and at the end of the month, they'll count what is in the closets.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I wish that my VP hadn't walked in the bldg ahead of me by about a dozen steps on Friday without either saying hello OR holding the door like a civilized person. I would like my corporate office to take an interest in my office location from the lowest ranking staff member perspective. I'd like this company to do a better job of involving employees at our various levels of doing business (contract negotiation, legislative awareness, etc).

I most appreciate that they pay me every week. It helps me pay my bills.
