Suggestions for improvement
- I think there needs to be more of an open door policy in terms of administration. There is such a separation and we on the floor level have no clue what happens or why in terms of administration and I think if they were more transparent it would help employee morale overall
What I like about the company
I have met a lot of people in my field around the state because of the great work we do being such a large research library. The networking opportunities are amazing and I’ve had the chance to do a lot of collaborative work outside of the library.
What I dislike about the company
I think the administrative structure is so stiff and old fashioned, it’s hard as a mid level person to get your ideas across because you have to go through so many bureaucratic hoops to get there. There is also a poor union and non union relationship and it creates fear among everyone so everyone is on their toes.
