Employees here are seen as minions, lesser humans, and are not respected.
Support from management
What support? Very little training, poor communication, you don't know you're doing poorly until someone is threatening to fire you. Employees have no say in any company decisions.
The staff here for the most part are nice and work well together because they are in this mess together and are just trying to get through the day.
Freedom to work independently
You're trusted to work independently, but god forbid you make mistakes. Then you'll be watched like a hawk. Literally...there are cameras everywhere.
Very little training is given. Company results/successes/challenges are not disclosed to employees. Management is pretty private.
There are primarily female employees. Genders aren't discriminated against.
Attitude towards older colleagues
There are a couple older MDs here but every one else is young and it looks as if they are no goals to hire anyone older.
There is no support for further training, teaching, etc. You might be told you will be taught a lot when you come here but you are barely even trained to do your job.
Overall compensation for your work
Wages are fair, when you actually get your check. Checks often come late, and you'll be threatened to be fired if you complain. There are no benefits.
Office / Work Environment
Is is tight, cramped, often dirty, and there have been bug infestations. The temperature goes from hot to cold and back often.
Papers are constantly printed, copied, thrown out, put in the shred bin, and printed some more. Lots of paper here. No recycling bin.
You will be told you are inflexible or are not a team player if you're not willing to work extra. You will be required to work Saturdays and rotating Sundays. You will have no life working here.
Not at all. It's gotten embarrassing.
In an instant if you say the wrong thing, ask the wrong question, or make the wrong move, you can be fired on the spot here.
The offices have a lot of very narrow spaces that would probably be very hard for someone in a wheelchair, but there are ramps outside. I don't know if anyone with disabilities have ever worked here.
No OSHA training is provided. Seems like a safe environment though.
Challenging at times, of course. But it's hard to be proud of your work here.
Inclusive / Diverse
There is cultural diversity here. But they don't value employee opinions very much, no matter what culture they come from.
Suggestions for improvement
- This place is a lost cause.
