Being a government funded non-profit they are solely focused on getting customer surveys and not performing consulting to help manufacturers.
Support from management
Senior and middle management are completely disconnected!
There is almost no teamwork in this company. Resources are not openly shared with field advisers... you have to find them on your own.
There are a few women in upper and middle management and they do nothing to help other women seek career opportunities... unless they are relatives.
Attitude towards older colleagues
They let old guard cherry pick all opportunities... leaving crap for newer consultants. They do NOT value people with business development or sales experience. There is no upward mobility here.
Zero career development at CMTC unless you are related to senior management.
Overall compensation for your work
Compensation is well below market salaries. There are no incentives and they are no focused on finding successful consulting engagements!
Office / Work Environment
Administrative support personnel very nice... there is no reason to be in the HQ office. Everyone in the field is home office based.
This is not a priority of CMTC. They don't train or equip you to succeed.
Manufacturers can't figure out what value CMTC brings to the table.
Old guard are the ONLY people that have job security!
Inclusive / Diverse
Very few minorities and no career path... they do not reward people who aren't obsessed with collecting surveys... which is how the government pays them.
Suggestions for improvement
- Clean out senior management and reorganize the company to serve the manufacturers. Bring in and reward people who know how to sell. The politics in this company is cancer. Clean out the older "good ol boys" network.
What I like about the company
Admin support people are nice.
What I dislike about the company
They are obsessed with doing surveys that they don't do any work for. Senior management are managing unethical practices and do not serve any value to the manufacturing market that they claim to serve.
