CNHI is a big company and when working there you can defiantly feel that. You are a number working for this company who can be replaced which they had no problems reminding you of this.
Support from management
My supervisor was very understanding with "family come first"; however, a leader was something he was not. He was there to get himself ahead and didn't care who he pushed down in the way. He did not provide assistance with helping his employees grow.
I loved working with my co-workers. Although my position and responsibilities were very different from my groups, they were always willing to assist me if needed. That being said, ask upper management for assistance and you won't get it.
Freedom to work independently
This is HORRIBLE at CNHI. You are expected to do more with less pay. If you talk with your manager about your workload they may redistribute it but you can definitely expect a low personal performance score.
CNHI has a CLOSED-door policy. You were not informed of anything unless you needed to be and that was typically last minute.
I believe CNHI a EOP company. There are some managers that do not provide equality between men and woman, but I feel most do.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Age didn't matter at CNHI, it was based on education (need a degree to work on office) and experience.
I was never allowed to take additional courses to further my career at CNHI. They did offer tuition reimbursement; however, that was a company policy. Taking a seminar or certified courses was never approved
Overall compensation for your work
I feel they pay never low and they have stopped merit increases. I was offered the same position with another company with a $10,000 salary increase.
They do offer bonuses; however, the amount you would receive is based on the entire companies performance. It also is based on your personal performance review. Their personal performance review is structured to have so many employees low, so many employees middle and so many employees high. It didn't matter if you worked your butt off and met all your goals, if you were not a "favorite" your scoring was low and you would not receive a bonus.
Office / Work Environment
CNHI always made sure you had the right tools to do your job. They preformed system upgrades and made sure they kept up with technology.
My schedule was very open and I had the ability to work from home is needed. I was also able to switch my work schedule for family.
That's being said, they did not mind throwing more work to you without any additional compensation.
Typically those who speak of CNHi are those whom have worked in the factory and since retired. They will speak of it as their love for what CASE (not CNHI) stood for when they were employees. Since Case was purchase years ago but an over seas company you will not hear fond things.
I never felt that my job was safe. My boss never made me feel valuable or that I was even good at my job. You feel like a number working at CNHI and they do not hesitate to remind you that you can be replaced.
This gets 3 stars because I personally feel a sense of accomplishment; however, you will not hear any words of accomplishment from any management at CNHI.
Suggestions for improvement
- Needs a new HR Sr. Management team!
What I like about the company
I liked that they stayed up wth technology and looks for continuous improvements in technology.
What I dislike about the company
I don't like how they make you feel valueless; as though you and your job are nothing. That you can be replaced. I also don't like that you can't trust the Sr. Managment. They speak of "open-door" policies, however if you dare talk about your boss to HR the chances of you eventually being let go are very high.
