Company Culture

There was no fairness or trust in this company.

Support from management

There was no leadership. The ED involved no one in the decision-making process.

Teamwork

There was supposed to be teamwork, but in reality there wasn't. You ended up doing it on your own and if there was a "team" project you still got the blame for it, even if you were not on that team!

Freedom to work independently

No, workload was never distributed fairly. I was expected to be Office Manager and Bookkeep for a Non-profit. Expected to be on top of 15-25 grants at any given time, yet keep the peace in an office full of 7 women, that didn't respect me or listen to me.

There were no successes for employees. Employees were more than likely written up for minor infractions.

For the age of the building, no. Computers and software, no. Levels of ventilation, lighting and noise, basically no, with the exception of my office which was sound proof because it used to be a radio station.

I learned a lot about Grants, funding, what not to as an office manager and time management.

Gossip, work-load, organizational duties, micro managing and support.
