Suggestions for improvement
- Keep the restaurant properly staffed and have realistic expectations for how quickly one person can accomplish tasks. For example, how many tables can one person make it to within 30 seconds while reciting each of the ten steps of greeting and immediately retrieve their drinks before making it to the next table within 30 seconds.
What I like about the company
I met a few great people in the process, and now have server experience.
What I dislike about the company
Upper management had unrealistic expectations of how much extra work they could add on to the individual servers while cutting back on how many servers were on at a time. Making it near impossible to give the quality of service that was also demanded. This also made lower managements job of making sure the restaurants themselves ran smoothly much more difficult. Tension between employees continued to increase as time went on being understaffed and upper management did nothing to help make the environment more tolerable.
