- The franchise owners need to change in order for this Comfort Keepers to become more employee friendly.
I like about the employer
Getting to take care of senior citizens.
I dislike about the employer
Franchise owners are abusive to employees. There is a high turnover rate for caregivers and managers/supervisors there. Caregivers are pressured to work very long hours. Some were working 90-100 hours per week. Caregivers were repeatedly sent to clients that were reported to be inappropriate towards them. Caregivers were put into situations with clients that they were not trained for or capable of. Owners took a lot of issues to court, suing clients, threatening to sue employees if they went to work for a different home care provider, and various other reasons. Owners would use passive-aggressive tactics to get a manager/supervisor to resign, to avoid having to pay unemployment.
