Fortunately everyone was not unprofessional or lacking tactful English speaking skills.
Support from management
Unfortunately a supervisor was unprofessional. It was apparent she hadn't ever managed before, however when brought to human resources attention 'she doesn't speak English well' was the reason given for her actions & inappropriate words. English was the only language this supervisor spoke
I was verbally told I was too young to move up in the company. Again this does not apply to all management with in the company, unfortunately there are some that shed a bad light for the company as a whole.
Office / Work Environment
The working conditions were nice although I do recall the seats being extremely uncomfortable.
Unfortunately again my direct upper management played favorites. Our lead(s) was not very honest, so if a mistake was made was real quick to shove mistakes on the 'newbies.' Also, training was lacking, if there was a mistake made, even with no reference to material you were supposed to know an employee would be chastised (at times very unfairly) in front of peers.
Suggestions for improvement
- Consistency & professionalism. Everyone in the company had their own idea of what 'professional' was without a set of ground rules that applied to everyone, not just the ones who had been there for a long time.
