Support from management

Before the merge with Commonwealth, Altadis was a great company and a great work culture. Then they merged with Commonwealth, which ended all of that. The lack of knowledge at the management level was absurd. They'd rather babysit you than listen to market trends and input from the sales force. They absolutely ruined a great company.

Job Security

Stable? Absolutely not. Unless you are friends with the right people at the management or corporate level. I'd say the majority disliked our manager, probably because they were clueless and would rather check to see if your daily mileage matched your report. Then again, when you know nothing about the industry or market, what else are you going to do? Having close friends at the corporate level will help, like it did for this particular person.

After the merge, absolutely nothing.

  • The company no longer exists, they bought the dogs of Lorillard and RJR brands, took on Lorillard people for one year fired all their own people. They now have a new name, ITG, they can't build a market they just keep on making acquistions.
