Support from management
At times in which you NEED the support from your superiors, you may be at times met with very unsupportive responses and unhelpful resources.
Office / Work Environment
Although the office area in itself has the adequate things needed to fulfill your job responsibilities, the environment in which you may be stationed to work from can be hostile, on any given day, from the residents within the site. At times in which you are presented with hard days, some times the support is not adequately provided to its staff. Mostly with the environment, the tenants you assist in servicing feel entitled and become very disrespectful to staff members.
Although the company is obliging by OSHA standards, the environment in itself, as it pertains to the tenants having the right to bluntly disrespect staff with no reprimands, causes the environment to become toxic and hazardous. This has caused health decline for many staff members alike, over years of service.
Suggestions for improvement
- I would like for the management team to actually HEAR what their staff has to say about the programs that are being run. I would like for the management team to have players on their team that have program experience as opposed to hiring individuals that are only in it for the money and are there to tell you how a program should be run, with or without their personal experience.
What I like about the company
I enjoy the fact that the company is diverse and continues to hire about 51% of the population in which we service. I also enjoy the fact that some programs are run by peers.
What I dislike about the company
I dont like the lack of staff support coming from higher management. When presenting an issue to your supervisor, at times, you are left feeling as if you met with a social working robot who has been trained to feed you "unsupportive support". Then almost immediately after that you are felt to be incompetent in your position when you present yourself to be a human within the field in which you work. Additionally when you are presented with the over the phone support line, you are told by the support reps that you should leave your current position; mind you, they are meant to support you in pushing through the tough times on the job. Not try to convince you to steer clear of the position and its work. (true story)
