Although the supervisors and "supervisors" commended employees every once in a while, I felt that their power of the later had gone into their heads. This resulted in condescending employees for various reasons. As a result, this led to an increase in intimidation and a decrease in trust.
Support from management
I felt that the supervisors were good in making clear and comprehensible decisions and involving employees in the decision-making process, but I also felt that they should have helped the employees out more in completing certain projects. On certain days, they would be in the main office talking about non-work related things all day long.
Even though my colleagues worked together overall, some of them had a tendency to condescend others, pick favorites based on merit, and lack patience. They even had a tendency to accuse me of doing things wrong when in reality, I had done projects the way that it was supposed to be.
Suggestions for improvement
- To improve the company climate, I feel that certain people need to have more patience and understanding. This would lead to more efficient communication and overall enjoyment.
What I like about the company
I liked its environment and benefits. I learned a lot from working there like how to use different saws.
What I dislike about the company
I felt that interactions among colleagues were not as strong as expected to be. This plummeted my enjoyment of the internship.
