The ideology of the culture is top notch, its implementation, well not so much.
Support from management
Upper management/CEO great cheerleaders during most of the year, except when review/raise time rolls around then they put out an email telling everyone the company is so broke they cannot provide even a cost of livng increase.
Other employees are great and follow the CARES company creed very well, the disconnect is with those in charge, very Janus like, and pull it off well.
A great place for equality especially if you are female or LBGT, it really is awesome how well they treat people.
Basically zero unless you are wanting to use the companies AOS degree program, that cool enough, is free if you sign up for 2 extra years.
Overall compensation for your work
Just OK, but not if you are looking for financial compensation or upward mobility.
Most co-workers are happy enough, but when it comes to how they get treated, it gets ugly fast. Jesus probably said it best when describing religious leaders, a pretty whitewashed tomb filled with decay and dead man's bones.
Suggestions for improvement
- We just transitioned to Non Profit status, and the owner has moved to a background position (landlord), this may be a good thing for overall improvement. Nepotism kind of runs rampant, when your husband is the facility co-ordinator, your sister and son run HR, etc.
What I like about the company
The job itself is satisfying, although sometimes I feel as if we let the students down when it comes to the amount of lab equipment they have to access.
What I dislike about the company
I have always had problems with any employer who does this, make a promise then not keep it.
